Dawn Montecalvo is a true visionary and purposeful leader, gracefully balancing the demands of running a nonprofit organization with satisfying the needs of an impoverished community. In her role as president of Guadalupe Center, Dawn has established a culture of success that permeates the nonprofit’s walls and extends across Immokalee. For many economically disadvantaged children, Guadalupe Center’s education programs represent a way out of poverty. Dawn takes this mission to heart, and doesn’t just see children as students – they are future doctors, nurses, teachers, business owners and community leaders, and it’s Guadalupe Center’s responsibility to get them there.
