PAGETURNER
Young children may not have anyone to read to them at home due to a variety of factors - limited time, energy, or insufficient English language skills of the adults in the home. To address this issue, we have created an online digital learning library called PAGETURNER. PAGETURNER allows for children to be able to listen to books being read by English speakers on video. These videos are easily accessible on Youtube and are free to use.
PAGETURNER adds a much-needed dimension to a child's ability to learn to read independently by gaining exposure to books without adult assistance. PAGETURNER can work with or without a physical copy of the book. We believe the most impactful way to use PAGETURNER is by holding the book and watching the video simultaneously. However, even watching the video alone is extremely beneficial. The videos have been created in a way that the child can see the pages of the book and the reader throughout the video to follow along.
