15,000 BOOK PACKING EVENT - August 2025 

It's back to school time & we were at it again with our PAGETURNER backpacks. Thanks to generous donations from The Trompeter Family Foundation, Wildcat Run Charitable Foundation and the Elizabeth K. Galeana Charitable Foundation, we were able to pack and distribute over 1500 backpacks to more than a dozen community partners. These books focus on Kindergarten readiness and are part of our literacy toolkit. Check out our speed packing session.

BRIDGEPREP LIBRARY - April 2025

We were so excited to hear that BridgePrep Academy of Collier had cleared out a space to create a library at their school. Over the last few months, we have provided them with carloads of books to get their school library started. It's still a work in progress but they are off to an amazing start.

READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY - March 2025

Did you know that kids who read or are read to for at least 20 minutes each day will be exposed to around 2 million words each year? That's the power of literacy! Love working with out friends at the Guadalupe Center to get books into the hands of kids!

GOING TO GHANA - November 2024

Our very first 1,000 copies of Tales of African Women Trailblazers were distributed in schools across Accra. Thanks to Dr. Nana Ama Browne Klutse, one of the trailblazers in the book, and Solomon Kojo Hagan, we were able to print copies in Africa and share them with local schoolchildren. The books were well received and we can't wait for our next distribution.

PAGETURNER STRIKES BACK - August 2024

After a little bit of summer fun, we got right back into the swing of things- sorting, packing and sharing books. We also prepared 500 Pageturner bags for distribution to preschoolders. Our amazing volunteers helped get this done in record time.

Grace Place - Hitting 100,000 - March 2024

The spring break campers at Grace Place shared in the magic of hitting 100,000 books with us. These elementary school kids selected books to take home and enjoyed a treat from Kona Ice on a picture-perfect Florida day. Thank you for being part of this amazing milestone with us & helping us distribute our 100,000th book.

Funtime Early Childhood Academy - Shopping for Books - December 2023

We had a blast letting the PREK4 class at Funtime come "shop" for books with us. There is nothing better than getting to pick out books to take home with you. The excitement and energy were amazing and we had just as much fun as they did!

Golisano Children's Hospital - Pushing the Cart - September 25, 2023

We have delivered books to Golisano Children's Hospital many times over the last few years. However, due to Covid restrictions, we could never see the kids and share our books with them directly. It finally happened! We got to bring the library cart around to the different floors of the hospital and share books with kids in their rooms, hallways and chemo stations. Learn more about the impact of books on the hospital through the eyes of their amazing staff.

Veterans Memorial Elementary School 2nd Annual Book Drive - April 28, 2023

4318 Books Collected - This is our biggest single book drive to date. We cannot believe they did it again and even better - they topped their record from last year! This is a true collaboration between the VME community including administration, staff, parents and students. This year they chose BelieveNBooks as their service project with a grand finale on April 28 in celebration of Friendship Day. VME students prove that you are never too young to make an impact in your community. We are so proud to partner with them and cannot wait for next year.

15,000 Book Packing Event - December 2022

We sorted, packed and delivered over 15,000 books (in less than 2 weeks) from Room to Read's Steam collection. Kudos to our amazing Florida Gulf Coast University volunteers for helping us make so many of our packing and delivery events a success! We absolutely love partnering with FGCU students and they have catapulted our organization to the next level.

Aramark Community Service Project - November 2022

Aramark is one of our very first corporate partners. They chose us to partner with for their Annual meeting and service day. They provided us with a $5,000 grant to purchase books for kids at Golisano Children's Hospital. The books benefited the Golisano library, classroom and library cart (that delivers books to kids in their hospital rooms). In addition, we were able to purchase items for Aramark staff to create activity kits for kids to enjoy and take their minds off of things while in the hospital.

Canterbury School Book Drive - April 2021

We started BelieveNBooks on Earth Day 2021. This was our very first book drive in April 2021 during Covid. Starting something new is always overwhelming but it was even more daunting in the height of COVID. This book drive exceeded all expectations and brought in over 3000 books. That was the moment we realized that we are onto something - kids helping other kids just by giving a little time, energy and their gently used books. And helping books find a second home has an amazing impact on our planet! This book drive will always hold a special place for us. May 2023 marks our 3rd annual book drive at Canterbury and 70,000 books distributed by BelieveNBooks.
